Allergies Suck
I've been so backed up on my posts recently due to the amount of work I've taken on. It's pretty exhausting now that I think about it. Although it is something I do love and enjoy doing, the hours straight that I put into an animation project is just crazy. I forced myself to take a break from it this morning, actually sip and enjoy my coffee and catch up on my posts. What i wouldn't give to be out at this beautiful place with this beautiful girl right about now. By the way, allergies f/cking suck.
Behind Scenes
Hung out poolside with Elissa and the guys of DSOTM during their shoot. Good to see and crack bottles with some long absent friends that night. It was totally random and unexpected but it was fun. Can't go wrong with booze, food and good company.
Golden State Warriors
Imaginary Zebra and I have been designing alongside for a couple years now working on our collaborative projects to promote and support our local Northern California sports teams. So far, we have had a flattering amount of support not only for home teams, but for our designs. As you may know, it's NBA season which means, Golden State Warriors. In our designs, we try to keep things very minimal yet make it very personal with the details. We incorporate as much as possible without doing too much. Here, we have our 2013-2014 season design for GSW. These are now available for preorder only via Imaginary Zebra.
It's Killer Season
For the past 2 years, my team and I have been working diligently on an art based brand; Mighty Killers. Our focus wasn't to sell tees and sweaters, but to create everything from ground up. I feel that in order to really gain the appreciation of a certain craft; you really have to dig deep. You have to be hands-on and really DO it. Then you can understand what it's really like and you can actually say you appreciate it. What we've been doing is just that. We have broken down and reconstructed everything. We have gone 100% hands on with creating a complete experience from the moment you jump onto our site. In the next couple weeks, we will be previewing the first item-based release. In order to be the first to see, follow us on Instagram and also subscribe to our newsletter.
From Way Up
On the way up to Southlake, there is this bend that runs along the mountains and the view is just to die for... Well, not literally. Because if you are not careful and you are too busy soaking in the view, you can easily drive off the road which plummets down the side of the mountain and you will most likely die. So please, mind the road and other oncoming traffic before you decide to get lost in the view.
Plan B
With the winter season still in full effect in Southlake Tahoe, majority of the hike trail heads are all closed. Due to the heavy snow, it makes it nearly impossible to hike these trails. The fluff of the snow makes it a mystery of what your next step might lead to which can be dangerous. We decided to pull off to the side on our way home to stop down at this little river. The sound of water flow is to die for.
Alarm Clock
Free Range
I always drive past a bunch of cows on my way into the Bay Area and I've always wanted to stop on the side and snap a photo. I finally got to do just that. Unfortunately, this particular cow wasn't having it. When I pulled up, he was about 5 feet away from the fence and as soon as I got out the car, he looked at me and walked away. When I pulled out my camera, he looked at me once more and walked even further. Can't blame him, I'm the asshole that interrupted his meal.
Let It Snow
We couldn't resist pulling over on our drive and hopping out the car to just really soak up the snow. The snow was coming down pretty heavy and with the empty snow covered roads, it was just beautiful.
Home of the Gods
This temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, is dedicated to the maiden goddess Athena.
Chain Control
Yesterday I came across a little yellow slip laying on the dresser and come to find out, it's a ticket that I had gotten in January when I was in Lake Tahoe. Completely forgot about it but I was lucky enough to have found it when I did because I was to appear in court the the next day, today... The shitty part was that it's about a 2 hour drive and court was at 8AM so I decided to get a room and head up at night with my awesome fiancé who kept me company. With our luck, we hit a snow storm half way up and chain control was out... Shit, we didn't have chains. Had to find a near by place and buy some for a raping $60. Still in good spirit though because I just love the snow so even though we had to add about another hour to our drive, it was definitely worth the while.
Athens
Ancient Greeks believed that the world was ruled by many gods, each of which carried their own special powers and stories. Mount Olympus was their home from where they ruled mankind. The myth has it that Athena (the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, just warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill.) and Poseidon (the god of the sea) competed to become the guardian of of Athens. Poseidon gave the city the gift of water but Athena won the favor of the other Gods with her olive tree. Athen's is known to be the worlds oldest city.
Photos are amazing but video makes you feel as if you are really there. I've put this short video together of Old Pali, Oahu for you to enjoy... So enjoy!
The Grand Canal
Not to be mistaken for the canal you see in Las Vegas, this is the real thing. More than 170 buildings, most of which date back to the 13th to the 18th century, face the canal. The boat ride through the Grand Canal was definitely short-lived. Each building was rich with history and beauty, I wouldn't mind just sitting and hearing about each of them. I will go back one of these days and do just that.
