Project Laissez-Faire
08.2014

Talented photographer Nolis Universe blessed Mighty Killers with some killer shots for this project. We have been slowly revealing bits and pieces of Project Laissez-Faire but it's only the tip of the iceberg of what in store for the future. Next month will mark a very important day where we will be releasing the very first piece of the project for the brand. You can head on over to Mighty Killers website to sign up with the newsletter so that you won't miss a beat.

Devil's Slide

We took a stroll through Devil's Slide a few weeks back. It's a bit of a change of pace from our typical off path hikes as this trail is very much a trail as it's completely reconditioned and paved. It's a very short walk but the views along the way make the short distance feel pretty long as you will be stopping every so often to soak it in.

Heat

Living in Sacramento and having a pool to jump into whenever you want is definitely a perk to take advantage of. Hitting triple digits gets pretty crazy.

Escape

Sacramento is definitely heating up this week with its usual Summer weather. It's about to hit triple digits for the next coupe of days so the first chance we got, we made our way into San Francisco where jackets and pants are still necessary. I can never get sick of SF weather. We hung out in downtown for a bit then made our way into Oakland for dinner before heading back.

Yakitori Alley

This was one of the places that were higher up on my "to-do" list while we were in Japan. It's called Yakitori Alley. This little alley way is tucked away in Shinjuku. A unique narrow alley will red lanterns dangling, full of smoke and the aroma of animal parts over a fire. There is yakitori restaurants in almost every little shack you peek your head into and most of them look very similar, serving similar food... Skewered meat; which is the definition of yakitori. Some of my favorites are chicken hearts, chicken skin, chicken gizzards and pork tongue.
