This dude is crazy. walked the narrow beams to get to the center of the tallest bridge in California, all for the sake of getting that perfect shot. I've visited this bridge only once prior to this visit and I didn't think I would ever visit again because I didn't think I could get any better photos than the first time.. I was wrong. We hit this up right at golden hour and it was perfect. the lighting was on point, creating an amazing contrast of colors. of course, this photo would not be anything if it wasn't for the daredevil Nikk posing.

I've had many many... many requests to have some of my photos be available for download to use as wallpapers but I never got around to setting something up that made it easy. a huge thank you to a good friend of mine that is working on, yet another awesome creative project, work hard anywhere. they have featured a couple of my photos and made available to download for free as wallpapers on your phone or computer.

I think it's always crazy to look back at my life and think, how stupid was i? and it's easy to say that now, because i've learned that through time, i've only gotten smarter, and wiser. so at that time, i was as smart as i could physically and mentally be but now looking back, there's a ton of shit i've done that was stupid but it was those stupid things I've done that made me smarter, and wiser... ultimately shaping me to the person i am today. that being said, five years from now i will probably look back at some of these photos and think, "damn, i could've died or went to jail" but you know what, i didn't and i get to live on with these memories knowing that i took that risk. that says a lot and its something i want to share with my kids one day.

The day in age we live in, we are easily and constantly caught up in a very fast paced world. In order to keep up, we are forced to rely on technology to do just about anything and everything for us because it comes convenient, it saves us time, and time is a luxury most of us don't have. I'm one of those people who just wishes there were longer days. Not more days in the week, just longer hours.

Our plans today definitely got shifted because I was at the car shop waiting for my car to finish up. Long story short, the guys waited over an hour for me to finish up and by that time, we were on race to catch the sunset. We realized it just wasn't going to happen knowing we still had a long drive to go to our planned location so we made due with the time we had and I have to say, not disappointed at all. I got to walk on air 730 feet above ground.

If you've followed my blog for a while, then you would know that this is actually an old photo that I took a couple years ago. Aside from taking photos, something I also really enjoy and love doing is editing. I can spend hours and hours just going through my archive of photos and re-editing some of them. Always dope to find photos that you never knew existed or you may have over looked.

Got a chance to meet up with some of the guys today to start plotting out for our next Mighty Killers EXPLORE meet. In the process, we somehow ended up here with this beautiful skyline. It was dope to look out and see this view as we had our meeting.

i bought these boots about 3 years ago, I think.. Maybe longer but they were at Macy's right after the black friday sale and i just happened to come across them in the clearance racks. You know, where theres a ton of cheapskates rummaging through the huge mess of shoes all over the racks. I picked them up for $30. you can't beat a pair of cognac leather boots by Ken cole for that price.

I definitely put some miles on them while hiking and they were some tough boots but i finally decided to put them aside for a while. I found them tonight in the corner of the room covered in dust and dirt. I had just picked up a bottle of leather cleaner for my other boots and decided to put in some labor on these and man.. the super soft feel of worn-in aged leather with all the battles scars these boots have endured were all characteristics of the perfect boot. these boots have made it back into my daily wears.

I find myself learning much about life in my attempts to teach him about it. people often mention the terrible two's or three's but man, those days were a walk in the park. i actually miss him being that young and tiny. i think when kids start aging after 5, they really begin to build strong... very strong characteristics that they will carry on for the rest of their lives and that is why its super important to really grow with them. I constantly try and raise my kid to appreciate the little things life has to offer outside of the iPod or TV screen. my childhood, i spent a lot of time playing sega genesis but definitely not more than i spent outside riding around on my bike, have grass turd fights, wrestling matches, basketball, destroying hornets nest with super soakers and running for your life as soon as you see the nest fall from its last thread and smash onto the ground into a million pieces with pissed off hornets on a mission to bury that ass needles into your skin.. Yea, my childhood was pretty much full of good stories that we made, not what apps and video games make for us. it's our responsibility to take our kids out and show them because we can't let our kids run free anymore. too many creeps and crazies running around so why not be there and make memories with them?

Photography has gotten to a point where everyone wants to just go out and find shit on their own and keep shit hush hush. To me, I am all about the experience and I would love to share my experience with everyone because I want to be able to influence others to go out and do the same. I'm glad I got to meet a bunch of cool cats that share the same passion as I do when I went out shooting last week. Ran into a bunch of familiar faces unexpectedly and it was grand.

I am sure you have seen these balls before (pause), most of us have (pause). This dope installation is found inside Niketown SF. I think it's always fun to challenge yourself creatively to try and photograph something that has been photographed often, but in a new perspective. I have seen many photos of these infamous balls but here is my take on it.
