Snap

One of the things that I enjoy most about photography is looking through the photos and finding gems (in my eyes) where the subject is not prepared for a photo, yet looks as if it was all meant to be. I think it is what makes a photo beautiful. The naturalness of it. It sure is one of the challenges I do love, to be ready to snap a photo when I am not ready. If that makes any sense at all.

Oak Creek Vintage
San Jose CA

On location of a photoshoot with Elissa and Super Street at Oak Creek Vintage in San Jose. This vintage boutique had a ton of dope stuff from clothing to furniture, home decor, accessories galore. Definitely worth the stop when you're in San Jose.

Elissa is featured on the latest Super Street Magazine which is now on stands so be sure to cop if you're a car enthusiast, Elissa Alva lover or just because that's what cool people do.

A Love Like This
Sacramento CA

There really is no excuse for why I haven't done much work with my fiance recently. I think part of it goes to my motivation just kind of fell flat and I wasn't really inspired to do much but sit around. I really am grateful to have this woman in my life. She forced me to get off my ass off of XBOX with a knife to my throat and demanded that we did a photo shoot together. I really had no choice! (Joking) But she did encourage me to pick up my camera and I am glad I did cause there really isn't anything like the photos we make. Her as a beautiful subject, me as a tool, we are a stupendous team.

He gets taller, I get older.
Sacramento CA

I really look over the fact at how much he has grown since I am with him everyday. It's not until I stop him for a quick picture that I realize that he ain't a baby no more.

Living on the edge
Sausalito, CA

Took a trip out to Sausalito on Sunday to check out the coast for some photos. This area was pretty tight. I've never been here before but apparently, it's a pretty popular place amongst the people. There was a ton of surfers, hikers and fishermen around the area. I found a number of beaches but it was impossible to get to. The drop off down to these beaches were over 80 feet high. The cliffs were soft and crumbly making it a death wish to even attempt to climb down. I did manage to jump around the cliffs edge like a mountain goat to get some pretty dope views.  You gota love the coasts of Northern California.

Bluffs Trails
San Francisco

I think one of the reasons why I love San Francisco so much is the abundance of secluded beaches. There is probably only one beach I know of in all of SF that actually gets crowded. The rest are usually dead, making it some of the most relaxing and chill spots to kick it at.

San Francisco
Ft. Point / Presidio

Headed out to San Francisco yesterday and decided to try and find a new spot to shoot at. WIth no direction at all, we basically just parked our car closest to where we thought we needed to be and do a bit of climbing. We first stopped at Fort Point and we thought we were going to be able to find a way under the Golden Gate Bridge but no luck. There was a ton of tourists and security over there so that wasn't going to happen. We decided to drive to the other side of the bridge and find a way down. It was a pretty steep cliff down with a bunch of soft and loose dirt but eventually, we were able to make it all the way day to the beach which we slowly worked our way all the way to the underside of the Golden Gate Bridge. Definitely a work out and even broke my tripod but it was all worth it.

Farewell Summer
N. Lake Tahoe

Been wanting to take the two to the beach and it couldn't have landed on a better weekend. It was going to hit 100+ degrees in Sacramento so the first thought was to dip and go somewhere cooler. It was either San Francisco or Tahoe and Tahoe won the decision. Weather was perfect, super warm air with chilly crystal clear water. It was definitely a perfect way to bid farewell to Summer. I found this beach the last time I went on a shooting trip and couldn't wait to take my family here. It's a super nice and secluded beach, not filled with a ton of people.

After our dip in the water, we ended off our day in the rocky area. Super proud of the two for sticking it out on the climb since Elissa was only wear sandals and.. Well the little one is only 5 so a lot of the climb required me just carrying him like a little monkey. Once we got up to the spot, the view is always worth it.

LAUNCH x FASHION
Sacramento, CA

Elissa invited me out to Launch x Fashion show last night and it definitely wasn't something I could pass up. For the time that I have lived in Sacramento, I haven't seen much of a fashion/street wear scene and it's pretty sad because I thrive off fashion culture. So it was dope to see what Sacramento had to offer and I must admit, some of the shit that I saw was pretty tight.

Labor Day Weekend

Elissa and I held our house warming this weekend and invited a handful of some of our close friends and family over. Had the grill going and the drinks flowing; good times. It was nice to see everyone who came out and definitely even nicer to have received all the dope gifts because we honestly were not expecting anything from anyone so when we saw the corner being filled with gift bags, it was a complete surprise and we couldn't be more thankful and happy. Cheers.

Basket Case Jayce

I admire this kids creative imagination. I can just remember what it was like to look at something so simple like a clothes basket and see how I could use that clothes basket in any other way completely in the other direction than what it is intended for. Can't believe how much things have changed where I am the parent now watching this young innocent mind run wild. Damn, I miss being a kid.
