Nothing but love and respect for her.
Pier Pressure
Headed to Japan in one week. Crunch time.
Vacant
Spotted this structure about a miles way. Made it a mission to get to it even though it required walking through sketchy fields and hopping a fence. Not really sure what this structure was used for but it sure as well was creepy. It was 4 stories high, with openings on the second and third floor with open roof top. It was honestly the perfect foundation for a nice living loft. Maybe I can move in?
Blood Moon
Left For Dead
After being spotted by security and then being on the radar, I was left with no other option than to stray from my initial target buildings on Mare Island and head off into the fields where security was a bit less tight. After about a good 3/4 of a mile hike in 2-3 foot tall grass and weeds, finally came across some cool shit. Hopped a fence and came across a series of cabin-like buildings.. The strange this was that there was barbed wire facing inward, which typically means it is meant to keep things from going out. Hmm.. What used to be here?
Just The 3 Of Us
There is no way that we won't hit the beach during our visits to Southern California.. Even though I like the beaches in the Bay Area more mainly because they aren't crowded with a ton of people, it's the warmer weather than really draws us to the beach and allows us to frolic around the water without going into hypothermia. Our kid is totally a beach bum and doesn't get to go too often so when the chance and opportunity is there, he sure does makes the most of it.
Stories
We had the opportunity to stay at a pretty dope boutique hotel in La Jolla this past weekend for my fiancé's best friends wedding. As she was off doing her Maid of Honor duties, it was the perfect excuse for my son and I to wander about and explore the hotel. Although we didn't get to go to every floor, we were able to see every floor by standing in one place, the top. He got up to the top floor and found a set of stairs that led to the roof, so of course we went. I enjoyed watching my kid being excited about stuff like this because it reminded me of myself as a kid, always wanting to go where you're probably not supposed to go for the sake of exploring and discovering. I guess that part of me will never grow up.

Mare Island
Several ghost buildings still stand tall at the old Mare Island Naval Shipyard. Driving through this place was a bit reminiscent of post zombie apocalypse where buildings are all boarded up, windows all shattered out and some even half burned down. There are very clear big red signs that state not to trespass and could be punishable by arrest. Considering I was there with my fiancé, I dare not risk. However, I shall return.
In 1992.
